David Johnson is the founder of Proactive Consulting LLC and brings more than 30 years of business-to-business telecommunications and technology experience.

He began his career with Broadwing and Cablevision Lightpath, where he designed and implemented telecom solutions for enterprise clients. In 2001, he founded Tricom Systems, Inc., supporting more than 600 small and mid-sized businesses across the Northeast for over two decades.

Today, as an independent carrier agent and technology consultant, David, and his team, works exclusively on behalf of their clients — not the carriers. They evaluate existing infrastructure, source solutions from leading providers, negotiate competitive pricing, and stays involved through implementation and ongoing support.

His expertise spans connectivity, cloud communications, security, and infrastructure solutions for growing businesses.

David believes that when their clients succeed, they succeed. Every engagement is built on trust, responsiveness, and long-term partnership.

When he’s not helping businesses navigate technology decisions, he enjoys hiking, road cycling, and running, and especially appreciates time in the mountains.
